*CLOSED* Giveaway: Bioshock Infinite

Bioshock Infinite loading screen

I am STOKED for this giveaway! I love this game, HARD! The story line is interesting, keeps you on your toes and says a lot about life. The action is intense, keeping you on the edge of your seat wondering what’s around the next corner. The graphics are beautiful and illustrate the story well in so many ways. You have a companion, a girl named Elizabeth, in game that makes you feel on levels I hadn’t experienced from a game before. The only negatives I can say about this game is darn near everything is lootable (insane amount of lootable items) and there are stretches in a couple spots where the ‘containers’ are empty. That drove me batty.

Still, I had an amazing time playing through this game on Easy (yeah, I played on Easy and make no apologies) and soon will start another run through but on Normal. This was my first FPS game and it’s hooked me on the genre, so much so I now own a few more FPS titles. I’d say that says a lot given I’m more drawn towards platformers than anything else. Here’s what the Steam store page has to say for this game:

Indebted to the wrong people, with his life on the line, veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. He must rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood and locked up in the flying city of Columbia. Forced to trust one another, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond during their daring escape. Together, they learn to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, as they fight on zeppelins in the clouds, along high-speed Sky-Lines, and down in the streets of Columbia, all while surviving the threats of the air-city and uncovering its dark secret.

Ok, so how does this amazeballs giveaway work?

  • You have to have Steam to play the game as I’ll be gifting the winner the game through Steam. There will be instructions in the email explaining how to download Steam in case you don’t have it already. Steam is a free download.
  • The winner will have to use a valid email address when commenting (not IN the comment itself, just in the input box you have to fill out TO comment so it’s kept private) so I can send the download link for the game. I won’t sell or give your email address to anyone, promise. If you’re signed in to WordPress when you comment make sure the email associated with your WordPress profile is a valid one that you can check.
  • You have to leave a comment on this post in order for me to enter you into a random draw to win the game.
  • Oh, and you need an internet connection to download the game.

– You don’t have to be my Steam friend in order for me to gift the game to you because Steam allows for people to send gifts to email addresses, not just through the client. If you want to add me as a Steam friend, that’s cool. Not required though.

– I will assign each person who comments a number and then enter the numbers in a Random Number Generator to determine the winner. Multiple comments from the same person won’t increase your chances of winning. In other words, if you comment 187 times you’re still only getting one entry number assigned to you.

This giveaway starts as soon as I publish this post (8AM CST on 07/07/14) and runs through (07/10/14 midnight CST ). I will then use the RNG linked above to draw a winner. I’ll email the winner on Friday, July 11th and if I haven’t heard from them by Saturday night I’ll draw for a new winner on Sunday, July 13th. Sound fair?

Comment below to enter for a chance to win and good luck! Columbia needs YOU!

Editing to add: Giveaway is closed and a winner has been notified. Just waiting to hear from them!

  2. Barely touched this one during a rental period. I hig

  3. Stupid iPad made me comment before I was done. I highly regret not finishing this title is what I was trying to say.

  4. Hmmm…your post makes me want to try FPS. Win or not, I’ll probably give it a go. 😀

  5. Deny Herianto

I missed this on last summer sales, hope I get it this time. Thanks.

  6. I hope it will be good 🙂

  7. Jason Pounsett

I’ve owned Bioshock 1 and 2 for a long while now but never got my hands on Infinite. Looking forward to perhaps getting that chance!

  8. I, too, would probably be playing on Easy. Every time I see a review for this game I want to play it and then remind myself that I can’t aim to save my (game)life. I am no threat at all in multiplayer FPS and I barely qualify as a moving target.

That said, story is my weakness, so I still want to give it a try. Let’s see what fate and RNG have to say about it. 😉

  9. I recently run that random number generator, and i got that it is almost impossible to win for me… it is about 95% that i don’t win… number 6,7,11 is very rare

  10. i would like to enter the giveaway
